Mark Keen is the Founder and Managing Director of BTS Special Works Limited, established in 2022. With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Mark began his career in 1985 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in commercial management, successfully leading multi-million-pound partnering projects, as well as overseeing estimating and pre-construction activities within leading refurbishment and specialist works companies.
Today, Mark leads a highly skilled team delivering specialist external fabric repairs, decorative finishes, liquid coatings and EWI systems. Under his guidance, BTS Special Works combines technical expertise with a commitment to quality and reliability. Mark is responsible for building strong client relationships, developing business strategy, overseeing operations and driving growth.
From concrete foundations to strategic leadership.
Jim Robertson is a seasoned construction professional with nearly 40 years of experience in refurbishment, maintenance and specialist works. Starting in 1986 as a Concrete Repair Operative, he advanced through senior roles at Connaught Partnerships (1990–2010), managing major contracts for local authorities, NHS trusts and private clients.
From 2010 onward, Jim held operational leadership positions at Amber Construction and UK Gunite Ltd, focusing on strategic programme delivery and client relationship management. Since 2022, as Operations Director at BTS Special Works Limited, Jim has led the formation of a new division specialising in external fabric repairs, coatings and EWI systems, driving operational performance and business growth.
