Enfield Street Properties
BTS were appointed by Cardo South Ltd. in February 2025 to deliver external improvement works to 75 occupied street properties. The upgrades included a combination of External Wall Insulation (EWI), aesthetic enhancements and structural improvements to key external features.
All works were carried out while homes remained fully occupied, requiring careful coordination and communication to minimise disruption. The compound area was located approximately two miles from the work sites presenting a logistical challenge in transporting materials and removing waste efficiently.
To significantly improve the thermal efficiency of the properties, a high-performance EWI system was installed. These upgrades reduce heat loss and lower energy consumption. A silicone-based render was applied over the insulation system, which is highly weather-resistent, breathable and low maintenance. This ensures long-term protection against moisture ingress and environmental wear.
To complement the render, acrylic brick slips were incorporated into the façade design in selected areas to replicate traditional brickwork detailing. Upgrades to the roofline included the installation of new fascias, soffits, gutters and downpipes.
Where required, bay window roofs were upgraded using the Bauder Flat Roof System. Known for its high-performance waterproofing and thermal insulation properties, this system ensures long-term protection and energy efficiency in vulnerable roof areas.
The existing loft insulation was assessed and, where necessary, was removed and replaced with modern, high-efficiency materials.
All works were completed to PAS 2030 standards and were backed by a manufacturer’s warranty. Additionally, a SWIGA insurance guarantee was provided, offering long-term peace of mind for residents and stakeholders.
